There's nothing like a batch of homemade cookies to lift your spirits and make your house smell wonderful. Homemade cookies aren't much more difficult to make than the slice and bake kind, but they taste a lot better. Read on to learn how to make a variety of popular cookies.





What You Need to Have

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour 
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup butter/margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Instruction




  1. First Sift the flour and combine with salt, sugar and baking powder.
  2. Then you've to add butter and mix thoroughly.
  3. Next Beat the eggs in a separate bowl and mix in the mixture.
  4. After that also add milk, cardamom powder and vanilla essence.
  5. Next knead and make a soft dough.
  6. Now wrap in the foil paper and chill in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.
  7. Then preheat the oven to 350 F degrees and grease the baking tray with butter/margarine.
  8. Now take out the dough of cookies from the refrigerator.
  9. Then make small balls from the dough and flatten with your hands.
  10. Next You might roll the dough and cut into shape of cookies with the help of cookie cutter.
  11. Now arrange the cookies on a greasy baking tray.
  12. Then bake in the oven for about 8 minutes until cookies become firm and soft.
  13. Now cool and store them in air tight container.

  1. Cookies... Sinful stuff that makes you become a monster (cookie monster) and only become normal when all the cookies are gone! Haha... But making these with kids will be a good method to turn them into cute little monsters!
